We offer you the route which keeps all the highlights of a beautiful active tour, maximum approximate to comfort conditions eventual during the travel. You will discover beauties and mysteries of Sedoi (Grey) Altai, dwelling in heated lodges, eating in stationary conditions, comfortable living and hygiene. “Altai Golden Ring” route includes the most famous natural and historical-cultural places of Altai: the legendary Teletskoye lake and the capricious Katun River, gorge Aktru and the canyon of the Chulyshman River; renowned Chuyskiy highway (tract) and its sights; cave drawings of Kalbak-Tash, a field remarkable for its specific vegetation; Scythian burial mounds, called Pazyryka. Maximum possible comfort conditions give an opportunity both to active tourists, seniors, teenagers and children to participate in the “Altai Golden Ring” route. Besides we plan the route in such a way that you can meet groups, following the same route from the opposite direction. This will lead to new acquaintances, exchange of impressions and your travel will become more complete. Travel with comfort in a good company!

We wish you to become Altai-struck in order to “udergo treatment” throughout your life! The road going towards the eternal distance between gigantic mountains is a powerful element which takes you away to the world of harmony beyond time and space!

The route provides a glimpse of natural and climatic zones: steppe, forest-steppe, taiga, high-altitude, nival-glacial. Tourists will drive through legendary Chuysky highway; they will see Altai ridges: Iolgo, Seminsky, Cherginsky, Terektinsky, Saldzhar, Aigulaksky, Kuraisky, perennial ice of North-Chuysky ridge, Ulaganskoye tableland, Chulyshmanskoye highland, high-altitude Kuraiskaya steppe, Chulyshman valley; car passages: Seminsky, Ulagansky, highway spirals of Chike-Taman and Katu-Yaryk; water gaps of the Katun, Chuya, Chulyshman; specially protected sites both by the Republic and UNESCO, among them the Teletskoye lake, which is a pearl of Altai; lakes of Ulaganskoye tableland, high-altitude Karakolskiye lakes and turquois lakes of North-Chuysky ridge; highest waterfalls of Altai, one of them is Chulchinsky cascade, 160 m. Tourists will have the unique opportunity to find out more about historic-cultural heritage of Altai by taking a view of world famous archaeological sites – petrographical complex of Kalbak-Tash, burial complex of Pazyryk, sculptures made of stone, ancient irrigating canals called suvaki. Fishing on the Chulyshman and the Bashkaus Rivers is also possible.
