Do you think that winter is not the right season for travelling through Altay?
Altay is magnificent all over the year. This place is always colourful. Winter is monotonous. White colour prevails on the background of blue sky and dark grey mountains.
Besides, we plan our route in such a way that you will have an opportunity to observe natural, historical and cultural objects of Altay; you’ll visit state museum-preserve named after E.I. and H.K. Rerichov in the Uimonskaya valley and also the museum of traditional Altay culture in Mendur-Sokkon village.

A short description of a route
| Day 1 | Arrival to the tourist centre "Ucadba Yarcevyh”. Accommodation in the comfortable rooms. 9:00 - breakfast. At 12:00 transportation to the drop-off, from there - a walking excursion to the Blue lakes. The colour of these lakes is very impressive. There will be a picnic on the shore of the lake. It’s possible to bathe in the lake. 19:00 – supper. |
| Day 2 | 9:00 - breakfast. A horse ride to the Silver Spring (4 km). You can enjoy walking through the forest; it’s possible to take some water from the spring. The water has a high concentration of silver ions. 14:00 – excursion to the puppet museum “Desyatiruchka” in Cheposh village. After that there is a great variety of activities - fortune-telling, predictions, participation in making potteries, things that can protect its owner and Russian traditional games. 19:00 – supper. |
| Day 3 | 9:00 - breakfast. Excursion by car to the Seminsky Pass, where the tourist centre “Dinamo” is located. Accommodation in the comfortable rooms. A short rest and lunch. At 12:00 excursion by snowmobile to the valley near the Tenginsky lake. You’ ll have a good opportunity for downhill skiing. 19:00 – supper. |
| Day 4 | 9:00 - breakfast. Transportation to Ust-Koks village. Visiting the museum of traditional Altay culture and way of life in Mendur-Sokkon village. A dinner is organized during the trip. Accommodation in the tourist center “Uimonsky Ark” near Ust-Koks village. 19:30 – supper. |
| Day 5 | 9:00 - breakfast. A trip to Upper Uimon village, the place where old-believers live and preserve their culture and traditions. You’ll visit state museum-preserve named after E.I. and H.K. Rerichov and the museum of old-believers. Lunch. Back trip to base “Uimonsky Ark”. 19:30 – supper. |
| Day 6 | Back trip to base “Katun”. A dinner is organized during the trip. Sauna. 20:00 – supper. |
| Day 7 | 9:00 - breakfast. A short rest. Lunch. Transportation to the Chemal Region and then you will walk along the “goat’s path” running from the Chemal HES (Hydro Electric Station) to Patmos island, where the temple named after apostle Iowan Bogoslov is situated. 19:00 – supper. |
